IRGC is investigating the matter and till now has not confirmed Israel’s involvement but Hamas has blamed Israel for the fatality and gave a statement, he was killed in “a treacherous Zionist raid on his residence in Tehran.” Hamas has blamed Israel because Israel had pledged to kill Haniyeh in retaliation of 7th October gruesome attack on Israeli citizens.

He was born and brought up in Gaza. He had joined Hamas in 1987. In 2006 He was elected as Prime Minister of Palestine after a big victory of Hamas in elections.
